At Gather & Co, our mission extends beyond building homes — we’re also committed to making a positive impact in communities around the world. This update highlights our recent and upcoming mission trips, and the incredible ways we are serving others.
Peru: Transforming Lives Through Service
This summer, 90 volunteers from Arkansas, Texas, and North Carolina gathered in Chincha, Peru, for an unforgettable mission experience. Together, we served thousands of people, provided essential medical care, and helped build new churches.
Serving Through Clinics and Outreach
Over 8,000 people were served through our dental, optical, and medical clinics, and more than 1,500 children were reached through our Cup of Milk ministry. This program shares the gospel in the streets of Chincha while blessing children with a hot meal that they might otherwise miss.
Building a Stronger Future
Corbett and the construction team worked hard, adding a second story to the sixth church we have planted in the area. They also laid the footers and foundation for our seventh church. In addition, our English teaching team taught 700 students in three local schools — an exciting accomplishment for the entire team!
Join Us on Our Next Mission Trip
We are already preparing for another mission trip to Chincha, Peru, in January 2019. If you’d like to be part of this incredible outreach, we’d love to have you join us.
Haiti: Building the Future at Emmaus Biblical Seminary
In October, Corbett, Logan, David, and Steven from Gather & Co will travel to Cap Haitian, Haiti, with a team from FUMC. They will serve at Emmaus Biblical Seminary, where they will help complete another building. This seminary plays a critical role in educating future leaders who will go on to plant new churches and spread the gospel in Haiti and beyond.
Watching God’s Work Unfold
It’s inspiring to witness the growth of the seminary and the students who are being equipped to reach new areas. We are excited to continue supporting this mission and can’t wait to see the impact it will have on the community.

Port Arthur: Helping a Family in Need
In November, we’ll be sending a team back to Port Arthur, Texas, to complete work on Jackie’s house and assess how we can help further. This is a short trip, leaving Waco on a Thursday and returning on Sunday, but it’s an important one as we continue to serve those in need in our local communities.

Helpful Tips for Fall Home Maintenance
As the seasons change, it’s important to prepare your home for the fall weather. Corbett shares these helpful tips to ensure your home is ready:
- Inspect Your Roof: Remove fallen limbs and leaves from your roof and valleys to prevent clogs and damage.
- Check Your Gutters: Gutters direct rain away from your home’s foundation. Be sure they are clear of debris and functioning properly.
- Install Gutter Guards: These help prevent leaves and other debris from clogging your gutters, keeping your roof and gutters clear throughout the fall.
Frequently Asked Questions
Cabinet refacing is the process of cabinet resurfacing. This involves removing the existing cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and hardware. The cabinet boxes are then sanded and a new finish is applied. New doors and drawer fronts are then installed, and new hardware is added.
The installation process for a bath from Corbel Enterprises LLC typically looks like this:
First, one of our qualified professionals will come to your home to take measurements and assess your needs. They will then provide you with a free, no-obligation estimate.
If you decide to move forward with us, we will work with you to schedule a time for installation that is convenient for you. On the day of installation, our team will arrive on time and ready to work.
They will begin by prepping the area for installation. This may involve removing your old bathtub or shower, if you have one. Next, they will install your new bathtub or shower, making sure everything is properly sealed and secure.
Once the installation is complete, they will clean up the work area and dispose of any debris. They will then go over the warranty information with you and answer any questions you may have.
We strive to make the process as quick and easy for you as possible!
A shower base is a pan that serves as the bottom of a shower. It is typically made of fiberglass, acrylic, or stone and helps to contain water within the shower. A shower base is an important part of a shower as it helps to prevent water from leaking out and damaging the floor.
Our walk-in bathtubs come with a variety of features that are designed to make
your bathing experience as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Some of the features our tubs come with include:
-A low step-in height that makes it easy to get in and out of the tub
-A textured floor that prevents slipping
-A built-in seat that provides a comfortable place to sit while bathing
-A hand-held shower head that allows you to bathe without having to get up out of the tub
-Adjustable water and air jets that provide a relaxing massage
There are a few things to consider when trying to decide whether a tiled shower or an acrylic shower is right for you. First, think about your budget. Tiled showers can be more expensive to install than acrylic showers, so if cost is a factor, acrylic may be the better option. Second, think about maintenance. Acrylic showers are easier to clean and require less upkeep than tiled showers. Finally, think about your personal preferences. Do you prefer the look of tile, or the ease of acrylic? Ultimately, the decision comes down to what you value most in a shower.
