2018 was a year filled with incredible adventures and impactful encounters. From Peru to Haiti, and Port Arthur to local communities, Gather & Co had the privilege of serving thousands of people and sharing the love of Jesus in meaningful ways. As we reflect on our journey, we eagerly anticipate the opportunities that 2019 will bring.
2018: A Year of Service and Impact
Serving Over 11,000 People in Peru
In 2018, we spent four weeks in Peru, serving over 11,000 people. Through dental, medical, and optical clinics, we were able to make a lasting impact on the community. We also connected with children through our Cup of Milk ministry, providing meals and sharing the gospel in the streets of Chincha.
Haiti: A Mission of Growth
Our team had the opportunity to take three members from Gather & Co to Haiti, where we helped support the Emmaus Biblical Seminary in Cap Haitian. We also made multiple trips to Port Arthur, Texas, serving those in need and sharing God’s love.
Looking Ahead to 2019
We are excited to continue our mission in 2019. As you read this, we are in Peru, from January 2–16, and we plan to return in June. We are also planning additional trips to Port Arthur and considering mission opportunities in Columbia, Costa Rica, and Rwanda. We will also return to Haiti to support the growth of Emmaus Biblical Seminary and help prepare the school for another year.
As we look forward to these trips, we know that each encounter, whether in our own neighborhoods or abroad, is an opportunity to be His hands and feet.

As the colder months approach, here are some winter tips to prepare your home:
- Remove Garden Hoses: Disconnect all garden hoses and place foam covers over spigots to prevent freezing.
- Keep Your Pool Pump Running: To prevent freezing, keep the pool pump running during freezing temperatures.
- Let Faucets Drip: If temperatures stay below freezing for more than 48 hours, let your faucets drip overnight.
- Take Care of Your Pets: If possible, bring your pets indoors during freezing temperatures or provide extra shelter and blankets.
